What? No pink?!?

Did I say no pink? Now surely that was a typing error. I will be using pink but it will be a hard pink. A tough pink. A pink with no ambiguity. No dusky rose, no mauve, no salmon.

Spring Collection

So I qm getting ready to launch a spring collection. The focus will be on the fifties era. But with a punky sort of twist. Feminine without being soft or pink. I'm really loving roller derby at the moment, and I'm sure that will come through.

Stay tuned for more!

Bridal Fascinators

Tonight I have made a set of Bridal Fascinators. The larger bridal piece has two rosettes made from ivory colored Juliet satin. This is fastened with a comb. The two smaller ‘bridesmaid’ hair clips are single rosettes made from green satin.

Jewellery meets fascinators here. I have used glass pearls, Swarovski crystals and gold wire.

Next I will be making a new bridal set with a pure white ‘bride’ and hot pink ‘bridesmaids’.

Wagga Gold Cup

To all my readers who will be attending the Wagga Gold Cup on Friday. Enjoy your champagne and the thrill of the race. But keep an eye out for the Auntie Megs fascinators that your Gundagian visitors will be sporting.

Yes, that’s right. Auntie Megs has come to Gundagai. Call into Gundagai Hair Design to pick out a fascinator and wow the crowds at the fashion on the fields.

Traditional millinery

I have now finished Margaret’s hats. Check them out. I was asked to do these ages ago and have since discovered that hats are not my thing. It took me about a week to do the pink one. Then I decided to get smart. I made the green one by making a fascinator and then pinning it onto a hat. 30 minutes and I’m done.

Long time no see

yay!! i'm back on etsy! check it out here

Typically, as soon as I decided to pay for a couple of listings, I started thinking I like the look of madeit better. Let me know if you think I should change.

I am also trying to link my facebook to my blog. You would think that it would be easy. Well its not. Well, its not easy for me. The only guide to do it that I could find is a video rather than a list of instructions and I cannot follow along fast enough to set it up.

Muffin sitting.

Poor muffin. I have been baby sitting him for a couple of hours today and every time I have a little coughing fit, it scares him half to death!! He is asleep now. Unfortunately I have been hearing phantom babies crying ever since he went down. Am I the only person who hears phantom babies ?

I have been doing a bit of surfing recently. I am looking at running a stall at the next local markets so I have been looking for markets websites and other people on etsy and on blogger who sell at markets. I found a good website here.

One must-have for my market will be sunscreen. I burnt the back of my neck at a market on Saturday.

I have accepted a commission for custom made fascinator for a wedding in two weeks. So I have two tasks for the next two weeks. That fascinator plus a bucket load of market-material merchandise.
