I was very naughty and did not look at Etsy at all since Friday. I have just checked now and 7 people heart me! Whoo Hoo!!
Pumpkin is soo cute! She woke me up this morning by squealing gently in my ear. Those who don’t spend time with kids wont think that its possible to squeal gently. But it is, and a gentle squeal is a blessing. Much less painful than one of Sweatpea’s body slams.
I played a fun game with the girls yesterday. They had both climbed into the cot while they were playing, and I called out. “Oh! A cage with wild animals in it” Then as I named animals, they made the noises. Elephants, mice, tigers, snakes. Occasionaly, to make it a bit more interesting for Sweatpea, who is a bit older, I said things like: “ a dog and a monkey” So she would listen to the noise Pumpkin was making and then make the sound of the other animal. Finally, when they were very loud, and getting louder, it was time for: “two fish in a cage”

Auntie Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00927185987259481574noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8944246627211589575.post-76781589718138376122008-09-05T15:01:00.002+10:002008-09-05T15:05:40.767+10:00Rain rain. Dont go awayIt has been raining all day today. I know that i'm supposed to hate this weather, but i dont. I love it. It makes everything clean and new. And its so good for the garden. Its not even cold today. Its just been raining gently for hours. The light is different when it rains like this. You would expect it to be dark and miserable outside, but its not. There are no shadows, there is almost too much light. Soft white light. Auntie Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00927185987259481574noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8944246627211589575.post-56577091121480890932008-09-02T15:39:00.005+10:002008-09-02T15:54:05.342+10:001970's or bust.

At the moment I am listening to and LOVING the Ting tings. My very first post as Auntie Megs. I have set up a store on etsy here and I wanted to set up a blog to go along with it. I have started out with some earring displays but there will be more as I go along. Give me a break! It has only been one day!!

I have been working on a special project for the last couple of days now. Restoring an old outdoor table. It has been out in the open for about twelve years and I am trying to get it back to red again. I am at the stage of using vinegar to soften the black slimy wood gunk coating so I can scrape it off. Tough going. Tough on my fingernails. I have tried to convert a hand held electric drill into a sander, but it didn't work very well. There is nothing like being slapped in the face by a vinegar coated scourer as it comes spinning off the drill bit.
Auntie Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00927185987259481574noreply@blogger.com0
